The name "Choaradar" means "Order of Chaos" or "City of Chaos" if you prefer the northern Daradrakian tounge. The idea is
that it symbolizes a haven of peace and order in the midst of a chaotic universe. It is also (obviously) the world that the
"Fall of Mahkinoc" occurs in. Allow me to explain this new sense of order to you.
The world of Choaradar orbits it's sun, Thiel, in an eliptical orbit that brings it much closer in it's Nearswing than in
it's Farswing. Thus the seasons are regulated by a closeness to the sun as opposed to the angle of rotatation so prevalent
with the earth. It has Five season as opposed to our four with each containing three, 25 day months. These are tracked
most easily by comparing the peak of the Nearswing (The Heat) with our summer. From there they progress through The Leaving,
The Cooling, The Warming, and Nearing before returning once again to The Heat.
Choaradar is a smaller planetoid than earth and maintains a faster rotation. It completes a rotation about every 14 earth
hours or 10 of their tenths. However The Choaradarians consider a day to be two of these cycles. Thus, a day consists of
Firstlight, Darkening, Secondlight, and finally Truenight. Each of these lasts approximately 7 earth hours or 10 Choaradarian
tenths.
Choaradar also had a small moon in geo-sychronic orbit above it's main continent of Alum. This moon is called Athiel and
gives off a bluish-silver light. Looking close there even seems to be patches of green on it. This moon is eclipsed nightly
by the planet and eclipses the planet daily. Although only a portion of the central zone of the planet may percieve the latter.
The great continent of Alum can be politically broken down and simplified into about eight factions; the Illuminarchy (Center
of Alum), Daradrak (Northern Alum), Kadaroch (Western Alum), Haramoth (Eastern Alum), the Southern Alliance (Southern Alum),
the Tower of Gilead (Beneath the Moon / world police), the Genhari (Sea Traders), and The Southern Seas (anarchal chain of
islands). I'll write signifigently more on each of these eventually.
The most influential are the Illuminarchy (seat of the Preist-Kings) and the Tower of Gilead (communal technologists). Between
these two forces peace is generally kept. The first influences more through love and the latter through fear. Mahkinoc and
Philorum are actaully from "The Tower" as it is often called.
Once again, this section will likely contain most of the expansion so bookmark it check back when you're bored.
